Founded by Detroit philanthropists George and Ellen Booth in 1904, Cranbrook Educational Community is one of the world’s leading centers of education, science, and art. Cranbrook Athletics is seeking applicants with a passion for coaching for our renowned Varsity Boys' Soccer team for the 2024 season. Our alumni roster boasts names like US Soccer legend, Alexi Lalas, and numerous NCAA players. Cranbrook has a proud athletic tradition that includes hundreds of conference, district, and regional titles, we have clinched an impressive 99 State Championships in seven different sports. Our facilities, including the Thompson Oval, Wallace Ice Arena, Williams Natatorium, Keppel Gymnasium, Jack Sanders Diamond Baseball Field, and one of the premier Tennis complexes in the nation, are a testament to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coaching responsibilities include management of all facets of the Boys Soccer program but are not limited to:

Building competitive teams.
Organizing and running practices.
Developing and implementing effective game strategies.
Supervising assistant coaches.

As the Head Coach, you will not only maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management but also play a crucial role in shaping the student-athletes' academic experience. Your influence will extend beyond the field, as you will have the opportunity to foster a culture that promotes the school's values. We expect you to intentionally integrate these core values as the framework to coach and build athletic programs, making a significant impact on our students' lives.

Requirements:

Successful candidates will have at least three years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level or in a club setting.
Candidates with ties to youth and club soccer in the Detroit area will be given strong consideration.
Candidates should have demonstrated communication and community relations abilities and work effectively with students, staff, administration, and parents.
